BACKPACK INITIATIVE
The Mayberry Foundation launch its Back-to-School Backpack Initiative in 2013 with the goal of closing the educational gap for K-12 students and ensuring that every child has access to learning tools that will allow them to achieve academic success, regardless of their family’s income or racial/ethnic identity. New backpacks full of essential, grade-appropriate school supplies are collected and delivered to students within the Greater Cincinnati community’s. Studies have shown that starting the school year with the necessary school supplies promotes learning, boosts self-esteem, and helps keep kids in school. YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE in the life and future of a child with your gift today.
